What Is the Consultation Flow

The consultation flow is a set of questions the AI asks the buyer to understand their needs and recommend the right products. A well-crafted flow means more accurate recommendations and higher conversions.

Flow Structure

The flow consists of steps. Each step is a question with answer options that determine which step comes next.

Example for a Battery Store

  1. Use case: "What do you need a battery for — home backup, off-grid system, or grid-tied setup?"
  2. Power needs: "Which appliances do you need to power?"
  3. Budget: "What's your budget?"

How to Create a Flow

  1. Go to Slivo settings → Consultation Flow
  2. Add the questions your sales team typically asks buyers
  3. For each question, provide answer options (or leave it open-ended)
  4. Map each answer to the relevant product categories or attributes
  5. Save and test

Tips

  • 3-5 questions is the sweet spot. More and the buyer loses interest; fewer and the AI can't narrow things down
  • Start broad — "What do you need this product for?" — then get more specific
  • Include a budget question — it helps filter out options that don't fit right away
  • Use everyday language — skip the technical jargon; keep it simple and clear
